“Covenant is so fortunate to have Sr. Cathy serve on our Board of Directors. She brings a deep understanding of the healthcare industry and of Covenant Health, having previously served as our Vice President of Mission and Sponsorship,” says Stephen Grubbs, President/CEO, Covenant Health. “Sr. Cathy truly has a heart for our Mission and Values and ensures that the Board’s discussions and decisions are grounded in discernment while guiding us with knowledge of the great legacy of the Catholic Health Ministry, and a desire to ensure that current societal needs are embraced and addressed. Covenant is truly blessed by her service, and I value that Sr. Cathy will always share the truth with love and an embracing Irish accent.”

Prior to being called to Congregational Leadership, Sr. Cathy served as Vice President for Mission and Sponsorship at Covenant Health. She has also served as Senior Vice President, Mission Integration & Organizational Development at Caritas Christi Health Care, Boston, Massachusetts. She was a faculty member of the Oblate School of Theology, San Antonio, Texas. The Sister Concilia Moran Award pays homage to a trailblazing thinker who demonstrates an understanding of ministry identity rooted in the church. Each year, the recipient is someone who has identified needs not yet seen by others and shaped circumstances into tangible opportunities for extending the healing ministry, ultimately taking Catholic healthcare in new directions.

The annual Catholic Health Assembly is the largest gathering of Catholic healthcare leaders in the United States. This virtual, two-day event is hosted in an interactive platform where attendees engage with speakers, connect with colleagues and create new friendships.
