Kristen Lambert Joins Covenant Health as Its System Vice President of Risk Management and System Privacy Officer


Kristen LambertCovenant Health recently welcomed Kristen Lambert as its new System Vice President of Risk Management and System Privacy Officer. Reporting to the Senior Vice President and General Counsel, she will lead and direct enterprise risk management, litigation management and our system insurance administration. In addition, she’ll will work with Janice Bosteels, our system Organizational Integrity Officer, to manage regulatory compliance. Kristen will also serve as the System’s Privacy Officer, addressing HIPAA privacy compliance for the organization and its member facilities.

In this integral role, she’ll work collaboratively with senior management to direct day-to-day risk management operations, support administration of our insurance programs, advise member facilities on clinical healthcare legal issues and so much more,” said John Newman, Esq., Senior Vice President and General Counsel. “I’m pleased to welcome her to the team. Prior to joining Covenant Health, Lambert was the Healthcare Practice and Risk Management Innovation Officer at The Trust Companies, TRMS, Inc. Previous to that, she held the roles of Vice President Risk Management, Professional Lines and Vice President Healthcare Risk Management, Psychiatry/Behavioral Health at Allied World Assurance Company. She has practiced as a defense and health law attorney and has also worked as a clinical social worker in a variety of healthcare settings. Lambert is a member of the bars of Massachusetts and Connecticut and District Court of Massachusetts, a Clinical Social Worker in Massachusetts and a Fellow of the American Society of Healthcare Risk Management. In addition, she has extensive global and national healthcare publication and presentation experience.

Lambert earned her Juris Doctorate from the Massachusetts School of Law, her Master of Social Work from Springfield College and Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, with a minor in Psychology, from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
