St. Mary’s Rheumatology Welcomes Amanda Scott, MD


Amanda Scott, MDLEWISTON, Maine – August 13, 2018 – St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce the addition of Amanda Scott, MD to St. Mary’s Rheumatology Department.

Dr. Scott completed both her pre-medical program and Doctorate of Medicine at St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies. She went on to a residency in Internal Medicine at Overlook Medical Center, in affiliation with the Ichan School of Medicine, at Mount Sinai in Summit, New Jersey. Prior to joining St. Mary’s Rheumatology, Dr. Scott was a Rheumatology Fellow at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts.

“Arthritis is a painful disease that impacts the lives of so many of our friends and family members,” said Dr. Scott. “I love my work because I can help to alleviate a patient’s suffering by slowing the disease’s progression. This empowers my patients to enjoy a better quality of life.”
