St. Mary's Center for Orthopaedics Welcomes Sacha Matthews, M.D. to New England Foot & Ankle Specialists in Portland


Dr. Matthews is an Experienced Hand and Upper Extremity Surgeon

Portland, Maine – November 5, 2018 – St. Mary's Center for Orthopaedics is pleased to announce the addition of Sacha Matthews, M.D., an experienced hand and upper extremity surgeon, to New England Foot & Ankle Specialists (NEFAS) in Portland.

Dr. Matthews completed his pre-medical program at Amherst College in Massachusetts and his Doctorate of Medicine at Columbia University in New York. He began his career at New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York where he completed an internship in surgery, a residency in orthopaedics and earned the role of Administrative Chief Resident for the Department of Orthopaedics. Dr. Matthews was also an Emanuel B. Kaplan Hand and Upper Extremity Fellow at the Hospital for Joint Diseases at New York University in New York. Prior to joining NEFAS, Dr. Matthews spent 15 years working at Spectrum Health Care Partners also in Portland. "I couldn't be more excited to join St. Mary's Health System's team of orthopaedic experts," said Dr. Matthews. "They're a collaborative group.
