St. Joseph Healthcare Welcomes Veronica Marchese as Its New Vice President of Mission Integration

Veronica MarcheseToday, St. Joseph Healthcare, a member of Covenant Health, proudly announces the addition of Veronica Marchese, Vice President of Mission Integration, to its leadership team. In this meaningful role, Marchese will work closely with the board, senior management team and clinical staff to thoughtfully oversee the hospital’s mission is implemented across all its initiatives.

“I’m very pleased to welcome Veronica to St. Joe’s mission integration team,” said Susan Belanger, Senior Vice President, Mission Integration and System Ethicist, Covenant Health. “She is a seasoned healthcare professional, with 20+ years of leadership experience. Veronica brings a wealth of clinical, hospital, parish and academic experience to this role. Her background and understanding of ministry will be valuable assets as she integrates the work of mission into our organization and community.

Prior to joining Covenant Health, Marchese was a board-certified staff chaplain, entrusted with the leadership for Catholic ministries and specializing in behavioral health, research and ministry formation at St. John’s Hospitals in Camarillo and Oxnard, California. Additionally, she worked in leadership with the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ Vocation Team and as an adjunct professor and psychotherapist at St. John’s Catholic Seminary in Camarillo, California. She is currently working on a Doctorate in Healthcare Mission Leadership at Loyola University in Chicago. Marchese holds a Master of Arts in Theology from Loyola Marymount University; Ph.D. in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute; Master of Arts in Counseling from National University and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from San Francisco State University.
